All Other Vacations
$250 Planning Fee
As your travel advisor, I don’t earn a salary—I’m paid by the travel supplier only if you book and complete your trip through me. That means the time I spend researching, building quotes, and crafting recommendations is a true investment in your vacation.
To make sure every client gets the dedicated attention they deserve, I charge a $250 planning fee. This covers my time, expertise, and support from start to finish. And here’s the best part: if you book and travel through me, that fee is credited back to your final payment.
This small commitment helps me continue offering high-level, concierge-style service to travelers who value a stress-free planning experience.
When you submit an inquiry, I’ll send you a trip detail form that gives me everything I need to get started. The $250 planning fee is due with that form (via Venmo @ksanford4031). If for any reason I’m unable to take on your request, your fee will be refunded in full.

If it’s Disney—you’re in very good hands. I’ve personally stayed at most Disney resorts, and my team has covered them all. We know the ins and outs and can match you with the best fit for your family, budget, and travel style. ✨
If it’s somewhere else—I haven’t been everywhere (working on it 😉), but I only recommend resorts and destinations that have been thoroughly researched and vetted. Think 4- and 5-star resorts, glowing reviews, and places I’d feel good sending my own family.
Even if I haven’t stayed there myself, you can trust I’ve done the legwork to make sure it’s a great fit for you.
If you book a vacation package through one of my trusted suppliers (like Journese or Delta Vacations), I can bundle airfare right in for a smooth, all-in-one trip. For standalone flights, I don’t book directly—airfare changes too quickly! But I’ll happily point you toward the best airlines, routes, and times so you can book with confidence.
It depends a little on the trip and how busy things are, but most quotes are back within a week (often sooner!). More complex trips might take a bit longer, but I’ll always let you know what to expect and keep you updated along the way.

I’m so glad you’re here! Hopefully you’ve already got a sense of what I do, but here’s a little more about me.
I live in Arden Hills, MN with my husband, Brett, our two kids (Jack and Leila), and our sweet mini goldendoodle, Lucy. I’ve always loved planning vacations—the big picture and the little details. After watching me happily dive into trip research for fun, my husband suggested I start helping other families, too. Fast forward, and I’ve been part of the Hourglass Travel team since 2021.
We’re a small but mighty group of travel advisors who believe in making every moment count. Between us, we’ve sailed on more than 100 Disney Cruises (and that’s just one example!)—a reflection of the passion and expertise we bring to our clients.
